Roberta Blackman-Woods Former Member of Parliament for the City of Durham

Following the release of the Future Food Inquiry’s report on the impact of food insecurity on children in the UK, I took part in a really important debate in Westminster Hall on this topic.
I spoke about the importance of free school meals, and also pointed out that we have been talking about this for far too long, and it’s time for the Government to take action.
Thanks go to my Labour colleague Sharon Hodgson for all of her work in this area, and to Kerry McCarthy, Labour MP for Bristol East for securing this debate.
