On Friday 1 March, Roberta Blackman-Woods held a meeting at Alington House for residents to share their views on the current licensing arrangements for Durham City Centre, and to comment on the early stage plans for a new bus station on North Road.
“My thanks to everyone who attended the public meeting to discuss licensing in Durham, and the new bus station. It’s clear residents feel strongly that current licensing policy isn’t good enough, and doesn’t address the issues in Durham. I will be following this up with residents soon.
I was really pleased we also got to discuss the plans for new bus station on North Road, and this was broadly welcomed by those in attendance. I will be feeding back the outcome of the meeting to Durham County Council in due course”
