Roberta Blackman-Woods Former Member of Parliament for the City of Durham

Key Cities: Cities in Action is a major new report highlighting what closer collaboration with the Key Cities can offer to the UK and devolved governments, and I was pleased to speak at the launch of the report in Westminster.
This report also sets out how the UK and devolved governments can support the Key Cities to fulfil their significant potential to deliver stronger growth, higher productivity, higher employment in better paid and more secure jobs, and a more inclusive economy. In my speech, I highlighted the difficulties facing our key cities when dealing with a £3.9 billion funding gap for local government.
