This week I spoke in two debates, both of which were on the subject of housing, which falls within my remit as the Shadow Minister for Housing and Planning.
The first was on Shared Ownership Housing, which is a symptom of the scale of the housing crisis. The extent of the problem is evident not only in London, but also in the North East, and despite Boris Johnsons own admission that the government must double housebuilding, this is yet to happen.

I also spoke in a Westminster Hall debate on Housing Supply in London, which you may be aware has reached a crisis point. Obviously, housing is not just important in London, but the situation in London is fuelling the crisis elsewhere, particularly in places like the North east.
