MP opens St Margaret's Summer Fete

Roberta was delighted to officially open St Margaret's Care Home's Summer Fete this week. 

 

Roberta said,

 

"St Margaret's really adds to the community in the Durham City area and I was absolutely delighted to open their Summer Fete.

  

"The fete was attended by lots of residents, their friends and family.  There were lots of stalls, games and the food was really excellent.  The cake stall was one of the best that I have ever seen:  not good for the waist-line, but a lovely treat!

  

"It was really nice to get flowers from Patsy Young [see attached photograph] who also recited the most beautiful poem that really got the fete off to a good start. 

  

"I would like to thank Janet Brown and all her staff for inviting me to such a lovely, happy summer event that was enjoyed by all those who attended."
