Government's plans to scrap regional offices could leave North East behind

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP (City of Durham), who is Labour's Shadow Minister for Business, Innovation and Skills, has said the Government's announcement today that they intend to abolish Government Offices in each of the English Regions including the Government Office for the North East, mean that the North East could be left behind in economic development and jobs.

Lib Dems refuse to back MP on school buildings campaign

Durham Liberal Democrat Councillors have refused to back Roberta Blackman-Woods MP's campaign to get Framwellgate School's Science Campus and the new school at Belmont back on track after the Conservative/Lib Dem Government stopped them from going ahead.
