MP welcomes future for Passport Office in Durham

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP (City of Durham) has today welcomed the announcement by Meg Hillier MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Identity, confirming a positive role for the Identity and Passport office in Durham City.

MP visits Flood Management Schemes

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP (City of Durham) has visited two Northumbrian Water sites to see the excellent work that has been carried out in order to counteract the problems faced by flooding. The sites both in Leamside and in Newton Hall are attempting to prevent flooding for those on the sewage risk register.

Roberta presents sky-dive cheque to local hospice

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP has handed over £1,465 to St Cuthbert's Hospice in her constituency following her skydive to raise money earlier in the year.  The MP jumped from 10,000 feet above County Durham to raise money for the hospice's funds and she called on MPs and other contacts both in Durham and in Westminster to sponsor her which many generously did.
