Take Part in St Cuthbert's Hospice Midnight Run.

Promising a Saturday night out with a with a difference, a Midnight Walk in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice, Durham, will take place for a third time this June for what is hoped to be its most successful year yet after the past two events have collectively raised over £100,000. The Midnight Walk will take place on Saturday 20th June this year and is a women-only walk following a 10 kilometer route around Aykley Heads, Durham City.  TV Agony Aunt Denise Robertson will cut the starting ribbon as the clock strikes twelve to send the walkers on their way across the moonlit miles.

Deputy Regional Minister welcomes "great" news for Nissan

Durham City MP, and Deputy Regional Minster for the North East Roberta Blackman-Woods, has welcomed the news that Nissan is to receive a £370m loan from the European Investment Bank to be split equally between their plants in Sunderland and Spain.
