Durham MP signs up for 10:10 campaign

Roberta has today signed up to the 10:10 campaign which encourages individuals to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.  She was also in the House of Commons to support the Government's excellent record on a debate on climate change.

MP to lead debate on Free School Meals

Roberta will tomorrow lead a debate in the House of Commons on free school meals.  The MP has called this debate on the day that Durham County Council is celebrating the success of its free school meals pilots scheme which has been operating since the start of the school year.  Every primary school child is entitled to a nutritious school meal free of charge for the duration of the pilot scheme.

You can come along to The Miners' Hall, Redhills, Durham, DH1 4BD every Saturday morning at 10am.  There are always a number of jobs that need doing including stuffing envelopes, delivering leaflets, telephoning voters and doorstep canvassing.
