Roberta Blackman-Woods MP (City of Durham) visited the Brandon Carrside Youth and Community Centre in her constituency on Friday to see the new mural that young people and local artists have been working on. Over fifty young people aged 8 to 18 have been working on this project.

Durham MP and Usdaw union welcome new Carers' Strategy

Roberta Blackman-Woods MP (City of Durham) joined with Usdaw, the trade union at the forefront of campaigning for working carers, to welcome yesterday's Carers Review, including £150m funding for more respite care and short breaks for carers, as well as the commitment that carers will be supported so that they are not forced into financial hardship by their caring role.
