About the Ward:

Nevilles Cross takes in a long thin section to the west of the city centre area including Framwellgate and Crossgate and up to County Hall.

Local people are campaigning for a community centre and I support that campaign.

This area is also home to the Crossgate site of Durham Johnston School and the site of the new school buildings being constructed at the moment. As a Governor of this school, as a former parent at the school and as the MP I have campaigned for many years for the Building Schools for the Future funding for this rebuild, and I am really pleased that it is now happening.

Roberta challenges Cameron on HMO and landlord licensing

Roberta took the opportunity of her first question to David Cameron at PMQs today to challenge him to maintain the Labour Government's agenda on HMO regulation and landlord licensing.
