About the Ward:
This ward takes in a large area from Shincliffe and High Shincliffe close to the City Centre area to the residential and former pit village of Bowburn and the small villages of Hett and Croxdale.I want to make sure that the communities in this ward benefit from the large amount of development which is happening, especially in Bowburn. New housing is being provided at Tail-Upon-End in Bowburn which is beneficial but green space,including a football pitch,is being lost.
In Croxdale I have been working to try and resolve parking and traffic problems and have been supporting the local community get some new play equipment.
