About the Ward:

Durham City Council has issued a Masterplan for Brandon and, along with local residents, I am determined that local residents are involved in this process. The area has benefited from education investment with a new Sure Start centre and it is shortly to get a new primary school and.There is work to be done to now get more facilities for young people and to tackle anti-social behaviour problems in some trouble spots in the ward.

There are some great community activists and groups in Brandon such as Brandon United FC, of which I am a patron, and I am always happy to help them out when I can.
